What is the purpose of the International Journal for Crime, Law and AI?

The journal was created to provide university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals with an accessible platform to publish essays, articles, and opinions on topics at the intersection of crime, law, and technology. By contributing to this journal, writers can build their portfolios, share their insights, and engage with a community passionate about these fields.

What topics does the Journal cover?

We welcome submissions that explore a broad range of topics, including but not limited to: International crime and justice, the ethics and societal impact of artificial intelligence, online radicalization and counter-terrorism, cybersecurity and digital governance, political and legal philosophy, and warfare.

Do you pay contributors for their articles?

As a nonprofit initiative, we do not offer financial compensation to contributors. Our mission is to foster intellectual growth and provide writers with opportunities to showcase their work and develop their academic and professional profiles.

How can I submit my work?

Visit our Submissions page for detailed guidelines on how to prepare and send in your article. We accept submissions in academic essay format, with clear references and citations where necessary, and essays as well, as long as they adhere to the topics covered by the journal.

Can I republish my work elsewhere after it appears in this journal?

Who can submit to the Journal?

We encourage submissions from: university students (undergraduate and/or postgraduate level), recent graduates from disciplines such as criminology, law, international relations, political studies, philosophy, security studies, and related fields. As well as early-career professionals with insights or research to share. There is no limit to nationality or age.

Why should I submit to the International Journal for Crime, Law and AI?

Publishing with us provides several benefits: you will gain experience in academic writing and publishing. You will build your portfolio, making your work accessible to peers, academics, and professionals, and you will contribute to important conversations on global challenges in crime, law, and technology.

How is the journal structured?

The journal operates as an online platform, with new articles published on a rolling basis. This ensures timely engagement with current events and evolving discussions. All publications are in English due to the international nature of the journal.

Yes, contributors retain the rights to their work and are free to republish it elsewhere. We ask that you credit the International Journal for Crime, Law and AI as the original place of publication.

Can I work on the journal in a management or editorial capacity?

Yes, we welcome unpaid volunteers for various roles beyond writing.
